Brig. Gen. Patrick Lanaghan

BRIGADIER GENERAL PATRICK L. LANAGHAN

Brigadier General Patrick L. Lanaghan is the Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Missouri National Guard, serving as the chief adviser to the Adjutant General on all matters pertaining to programs, policies, operations, management, and command and control of the Missouri Air National Guard. He is responsible for providing ready Airmen for ongoing global military operations and response to domestic emergencies in support of the Governor of Missouri. He also ensures the mission readiness of more than 2300 personnel serving in two wings at four locations supporting daily state and federal missions.

General Lanaghan received a direct commission into the Medical Service Corps in March 1998. General Lanaghan previously commanded the 131st Medical Group, Whiteman AFB, Missouri and the 125th Medical Group, Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to his current position, General Lanaghan served as the Chief of Staff for the Missouri Air National Guard, where he administered and supervised the Missouri Air National Guard State Headquarters staff in their support to subordinate units.

General Lanaghan has served in multiple leadership roles during seven major hurricane responses while assigned to the Florida Air National Guard. During the COVID-19 pandemic response, General Lanaghan served as the Commander, Joint Task Force Aid and established the first-of-its-kind four hundred and fifty bed coronavirus field hospital at the Miami Beach Convention Center. General Lanaghan is a veteran of Operations DESERT STORM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
