Brigadier Gen. Patrick Lanaghan

BRIGADIER GENERAL PATRICK L. LANAGHAN

Brigadier General Patrick L. Lanaghan serves as the Chief of Staff, Missouri Air National Guard, Jefferson City, Missouri. He administers and supervises the Missouri Air National Guard State Headquarters staff in their support to subordinate units. His leadership and oversight ensures the mission readiness of more than 2300 personnel in the Missouri Air National Guard's two wings who are poised to support community, state, and federal missions.

General Lanaghan received a direct commission into the Medical Service Corps in March 1998. He commanded the Florida Air National Guard's 125th Medical Group, providing leadership during the state's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He served as the commander, Joint Task Force Aid and established the first-of-its-kind 450-bed coronavirus field hospital at the Miami Beach Convention Center. He also oversaw the conversion of the field hospital to the state's first Coronavirus Hybrid Testing Site, working seamlessly with military, government, and private agencies to facilitate more than 52,000 coronavirus tests. He has also served as the Director of Staff - Air for the Missouri Air National Guard, where he was the senior Air advisor to the state's Adjutant General. General Lanaghan is a veteran of operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. Prior to his current position, the general served as the commander, 131st Medical Group, 131st Bomb Wing, Whiteman AFB, Missouri.
